The CES is expected to attract more than 140,000 attendees, with over 20,000 product launches in the fields of 3D, mobile DTV, tablets, apps, connected TVs, embedded Internet, green technology and more. Thanks to an exclusive partnership with the CEA, Spike TV will telecast live coverage from the event. Through the introduction of CES All Access Live, technology fans will have the ability to watch more than 12 hours of coverage across TV, online, mobile, and social platforms.

New events at the 2012 show include:
  • The International Academy of Web Television will hold the inaugural IAWTV Awards, the first awards show for the web television industry, presented by and for content creators. Spanning 33 categories and honoring web series and online talent, the IAWTV Awards will reward quality entertainment for digital platforms in 33 different categories.
  • The PMA@CES, a new space for photography and digital imaging products and services, spanning from capture to output, will give visitors the opportunity to establish new business connections and reconnect with industry friends. Sponsored by the Photo Marketing Association (PMA), exhibitors will include Pentax Ricoh, Liberty Synergistics, Lucidiom, Noritsu America and Tamrac.
  • Eureka Park, a unique exhibit area where fledgling start-ups, diamond in the rough companies, and budding entrepreneurs can showcase their homegrown innovations. It is sponsored by CES in partnership with the National Science Foundation, CNET and UK Trade & Investment.

Keynote speakers will include Microsoft CEO, Steve Ballmer, who will deliver a pre-show keynote address on Jan. 9; Dr. Paul E. Jacobs, Chairman and CEO of Qualcomm; Dieter Zetche, Chairman of the Board of Management of Daimler AG and Head of Mercedes-Benz Cars; Paul Otellini, President and CEO of Intel Corporation; and Hans Vestberg, President and CEO of Ericsson Group.

This year's event will begin at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 11, and give attendees a unique perspective on the power of innovation in the global marketplace.
