A brand new show, the Army Navy Military Expo, will make its debut at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, August 12-14.

"Other shows carry pieces of the merchandise mix carried in Army Navy stores, but there was none that included the full mix," says Eric Brackmann, a business consultant with David Castlegrant & Associates, the company based in Brighton, MI which is organizing the show. The show will include approximately 350 exhibitors, covering the full range of products.

"Exhibitors and buyers in the trade have stated that they want a show that will return to the roots of the Army Navy retail industry. This ANM Expo will truly be a different show, offering exhibits that are more in tune with the typical Army Navy store today," said Castlegrant. Exhibitors will show everything from military, tactical, work wear, uniforms, outdoor goods, air soft and paintball, and all the ancillary product categories.

In addition, Castlegrant's organization has formed a buyers association, which owns 20 percent of the show. "This ensures it is truly representative of the Army Navy retail industry," Brackmann said. Each owner is related to Army Navy supply or retailing, and as a group, will share 20 percent of the show's profits. They pay nothing for their share of the show.

There is no cost to attend. It is open to all legitimate retailers, and anyone with a business card can get in on an express basis, said Brackmann. He expects about 3,000 retailer visitors.

Exhibit costs are low. The organization also has a block of discounted rooms at Caesar's Palace for registrants.
