Blooms in a Bag

May 1, 2007

GIFTS THAT BLOOM introduces Bags That Bloom, which are gardening gift kits that add long lasting value to greetings for all occasions. These bags also have appeal to anyone who loves to watch flowers grow.

Bags That Bloom consists of an environmentally friendly, brown Kraft paper bag that measures five by seven inches. It contains a bag of soil and seeds, and has a Mylar interior surface so the seeds can be grown inside the bag. Just add water and watch the seeds grow, and the bags come with a guarantee that they will.

The soil is in a poly bag, and each unit also has room to include a gift card, personal greeting or other small gift. Bags That Bloom has the Postal Service's approval for mailing.

It comes in 150 different designs, including ones that are targeted to all holidays and celebrations. Themes include anniversaries, birthdays, new babies, graduation, and other special events. Different seed varieties are included in different designs, and each has artwork on the label that shows how the bag will look when the seeds are fully grown.

The minimum opening order is $200, and reorders are $100. The wholesale price is $3.95 a unit, and the suggested retail price is between $7.95 and $8.95 a unit.
