Pacific Link maintains an inventory of between 600 and 700 styles of sunglasses, which are made at its own factory in China. They include designs for men, women and children.
Except for the company's own, "Element Eight," sports style brand and its "DD" fashion brand, the company does not reference any brand. Styles include celebrity designs, metal sports styles and aviator designs. New arrivals are added every month.
The overwhelming majority of its stock wholesales in the mid $20s, about $24, per dozen. On average, polarized styles and sports goggles typically wholesale for an additional $10 per dozen. The minimum order is one dozen of one style, which generally includes an assortment of three or four different colors.
Management takes pride in customizing each order according to the retail buyer's demographics, price points, geography and other individual needs. It also offers a very wide range of point of sale displays. They range from as small as a countertop unit that holds 12 pieces, to a revolving floor stand that holds 176 pieces. Among the more popular displayers is a revolving countertop unit that holds 40 pair of sunglasses.
It also supplies reading glasses in a choice of three different countertop displayers. Because the company has control over manufacturing, it is able to maintain strict quality control while also discounting product. This assures its retailer customers of pricing that has high impulse appeal with consumers while providing a healthy margin of profit.
