Google & Marketworks Offer Web Solutions

Feb 1, 2007

Google and Marketworks have teamed up to create a variety of new eCommerce storefront templates that will make it easier for small businesses to have professional looking websites with built-in Google Checkout. Marketworks is a multi-channel eCommerce software provider, and the new service provides everything a small business needs to sell online.

Typically, small business online merchants could use simplistic templates that were obviously off the shelf, or hire a professional designer, often at substantial cost. Now Marketworks customers can select from 12 new, professionally designed storefront templates to instantly transform the look of their Google checkout enabled storefronts.

The new Marketworks storefront templates can be customized to match the look and feel of their own brand and business, without additional costs.

"The most important factor in driving customer conversion is having a professionally designed storefront," says Ken Powell, chief executive officer of Marketworks. "We've added professional graphic design elements to Marketworks' eCommerce technology to make it even easier for our customers to get a look and feel they can be proud of."

Google approached Marketworks about developing a solution that would allow it to extend Google Checkout to its customer base. Marketworks developed a strategy for building and launching professionally designed storefront templates that were pre-enabled with Google Checkout.

As a result, Marketworks customers can launch their storefront and be ready to accept orders very quickly. The storefront templates are free for Marketworks customers. Marketworks, which is based in Atlanta, specializes in technology and marketing services for multi-channel online businesses. For more information, visit www.marketworks.com, or call 1-800-406-9260.
