Laura's Country Candles has expanded and moved in both a literal and virtual way. It has relocated to 1141 Lincoln Road in Allegan, MI, and it has also launched a new website at www.laurascountrycandles.com. While the former gives the company more room for its expanding line of products, the new website makes it easier for wholesalers and retailers to research and buy product.
There are more products, too, according to Bill Sage, who with his wife, Laura, is the company's owner. A new line of incense burners has been added, along with its Ko Ko Krazy Kokonut Kandles, which are made of natural soybean wax and coconut oil. Laura's Country Candles also offers custom candles that utilize sandblasting to create the custom designs.
The company carries more than 21 different items, which does not count the 42 individual fragrances that are available. The overwhelming majority, 99 percent of the products, are made in the company's own factory in the U.S.
The newly designed website shows improved images of products and more detailed descriptions. In addition, it offers more payment options than were previously available.
Retailer buyers and wholesalers must register on the website. Registration is free, and once they are approved as legitimate resellers, they are given a password that provides access to the wholesale prices on all products. All products are shown and described in detail on the web, and orders can be placed directly over the Internet.
In general, the minimum order is $180 and can include an assortment of all of the company's items. However, there is a wide range of package offers for each product category.
The packages begin at about $147 wholesale and include displayers. "We have displays for every product we sell wholesale," Sage says.
