On the heels of its success in Las Vegas in May 2008 and again in New York this January, Value Price Expo has added a fourth show to its annual roster, reports Alan Paggao, marketing director. In addition to shows in Las Vegas and Atlantic City this May, it will host a show in Las Vegas this August.

The newest show, which will take place August 7-10 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, coincides with two days of the ASD Show. Paggao says, "We anticipate between 150 and 200 exhibitors and between 4,000 and 5,000 buyers. The exhibitors cover numerous product categories centered primarily around variety and general merchandise products," he adds. "It is targeted to retailers preparing for the holiday season." Buyer registration for this show is free, as it is with all Value Price Expos.

From May 4-6, Value Price Expo returns to Las Vegas. The show will take place at the Tuscany Casino Ballroom. At exhibitors' request, according to Paggao, it coincides with the International Hardware Show. He expects about 1,000 to 2,000 buyers, he says. "We have 50 to 60 exhibitors, including eight of the biggest closeout vendors in the country," says Paggao. "The timing will attract hardware retailers, in addition to others."

From May 17-19, Value Price Expo will take place at the Atlantic City Convention Center. This is its first show in Atlantic City, but is scheduled to appeal to many of the New York City buyers that attended its initial New York City show this January, "Along with Atlantic City's souvenir and novelty retailers," Paggao says. This show is targeted to summer merchandise, "Especially for retail stores along the shore," he points out. He expects between 100 and 150 exhibitors, and based on the success of the January New York show, "we expect up to 3,000 buyers," Paggao says.
