The merchandise is targeted mostly to dollar and discount stores, and designed to sell at retail for $1 or more, since many dollar stores have added items retailing above the $1 price point. The best selling categories now are health and beauty aids, stationery, cleaning products, disposables, party supplies and snacks. In addition, JKE is gearing up to provide retailers with holiday merchandise. That includes decorations, ornaments, candles, greeting cards, holiday themed party goods and wrapping paper and ribbon.

Most of these products are first quality and new. However, closeouts are included in some categories, primarily in apparel and HBA. Among the other categories carried by JKE are picture frames, automotive products, baby apparel and products, beverages, candles, electronic accessories such as batteries, pet products, footwear, hardware, glassware and home décor. In all cases, the items are priced to provide retailers with a markup of 75 and even 100 percent over wholesale cost.

The minimum order is $150, and can include an assortment. Most items are sold by the case, and the number of units per case varies, depending on the product.
