Girls Gone Wild

Mar 1, 2007

Girls Gone Wild, the well known entertainment empire, takes on a new direction with the launch of a much anticipated contemporary apparel collection for men and women. It includes sportswear, loungewear, intimate apparel and swimwear. "The Girls Gone Wild brand has become a celebrity and icon in its own right," says founder Joe Francis. "The clothing collection is our next step for continuing the growth of the brand and the affinity with our fans. There's a little Girls Gone Wild in every woman, and our clothing line helps them to express that." He says the line is inspired by the same irreverence as the brand itself, capturing the essence of youth and the fun of being young.

The collection is created to exude a carefree attitude, while maintaining a contemporary level of design. Francis has hired top celebrity stylist, Jennifer Mallini, to head up the design team and collaborate with licensees and partners. The collection is targeted to what Francis calls "A" list boutiques and better department stores.

The company has obtained licensing agreements in each category. For the swim collection, it signed Ashley Paige, known for her hand made knit bikinis. BB Originals will produce the loungewear and intimate apparel.

The feel of the collection is to mix quality fabrics and detailed designs with edgy, youthful directional pieces. Retail price points for tops range from $32 to $72 a unit. Outerwear retail prices are from $98 to $198 a unit, and bottoms retail for $72 to $148 a unit.

The Girls Gone Wild brand includes videos, usually showing attractive young women at parties, including spring break, often in alluring poses and activities. Guys Gone Wild followed the initial pop culture phenomenon. The company's entertainment is distributed to audiences worldwide through home video, television, live event, wireless, Internet and Pay Per View distribution channels.

Girls Gone Wild interacts with 25,000 college age adults each week through its live events. It spends more than $40 million a year on television advertising, has one of the internet's most viewed websites, and extensive retail placement and distribution in more than 20 countries.

It was founded in 1997 and has become a leader in direct response marketing and membership segments. It owns and operates its own production, fulfillment and call center facilities. It is headquartered in Los Angeles and has a Girls Gone Wild Apparel showroom there in suite 603 of the Gerry Building. For information, call 800-689-3666.
