We are a direct importer and wholesaler of costume jewelry from Peru, South America.
We began as a mostly retail business that transitioned into a wholesale to the trade operation. We offer a detailed selection of high quality handmade Peruvian jewelry at a surprisingly low cost. ABOUT THE PRODUCTS
VARIETY DISCLAIMER - Our merchandise is handmade by independent artisans with artistic control in Peru. All jewelry comes to us in a variety of stones and colors. Items shown in a group or marked with an asterisk * come in a variety of styles/designs that may differ from those shown. Nevertheless, products in each code will be true to item description and similar to those depicted in the website or catalog.
Who makes the jewelry?
The jewelry is handmade by indigenous artisans in Peru. We do not have any employees, factories or "sweatshops" in Peru. We buy directly from a variety of artisans that set their own prices. This cottage industry has enabled them to have a better quality of life. We are thankful for the opportunity to be of service to them and to you, our client. We believe in social responsibility. Buying from us helps others help themselves. It also helps you to make a profit.
What are the materials used in the jewelry?
Metals:
The silver colored earwires are made of hypo-allergenic surgical steel. The jewelry is made with a variety of metals such as copper, bronze, iron and "alpaca" silver. Alpaca is not truly a silver. It is an alloy of zinc, nickel, copper and iron. It is similar to stainless steel and doesn't rust or tarnish.
Stones:
A variety of semi-precious stones are used including turquoise, chrysocolla, lapiz, sodalite, rose quartz, pink andean opal, black onyx, white onyx, mahogany obsidian, jasper, serpentine, agates and others.
What are the jewelry measurements?
NECKLACES.........18" to 22" long.
CHOKERS...........16" to 17" long.
EARRINGS....1 1/2" to 4 1/2" long.
BRACELETS.......6" to 7 1/2" long.
ANKLETS............9" to 10" long.
All pieces are easily modified with simple jewelry tools.
ORDERING
MINIMUM ORDER - There is a minimum order requirement of $50.00. Orders can be paid by Visa, MasterCard, Discover, COD Money Order (UPS only) and pre-paid by Money Order. UPS has a $9.00 charge for COD processed orders. All orders are shipped out same or next business day they're received. Discount prices apply only on items with same code number. You can call us toll-free 9am to 5pm Monday-Friday EST or order at your convenience 24 hrs. a day, 7 days a week here on the internet!
Can I specify colors/stones?
Yes, by stating your preference in the comment box. However, we can not guarantee all desired colors and stones are available. When you place your order please tell us if you prefer to substitute for a different color or refrain from sending the item in the event the desired color is unavailable.
SHIPPING
All domestic orders are shipped by either UPS or U.S. Postal Service.
All packages are also insured. All UPS packages are trackable online. All shipping costs are based upon actual weight. (To estimate weight figure $75 worth of product weighs approximately 1 lb.)
There is a $3.00 handling fee to cover the cost of shipping materials and insurance for every package regardless of size. We give free shipping on all orders over $500 via UPS Ground within the continental United States.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS- We generally recommend using the US Postal Service's Express Mail International to our clients outside the United States. With the exception of UPS Ground to Canada, EMI service is a better value than UPS Worldwide services and is also trackable online. In our experience EMI usually clears customs houses of friendly nations more expediently than UPS.

As stated earlier, all orders are shipped out same or next business day they're received. Depending upon your shipping zone orders shipped UPS Ground inside the continental United States are received within one to five business days after shipping. UPS offers a variety of shipping services such as: Next Day Air, 2nd Day Air, and 3rd Day Select. We can also ship by Priority Mail through the U.S. Postal Service. Priority Mail packages have a two or three day delivery time everywhere in the United States.
Again, we endorse using USPS EMI to our international clients. This service is rapid, efficient and cost-effective for shipping merchandise outside the United States. Our clients in Australia and the United Kingdom generally have their packages arrive in country in five business days.
WHAT ABOUT BACK ORDERS?
Since we maintain high par levels on our jewelry, the need to ship back orders is not very common. Nevertheless, if items do need back ordered, they are sent free of any shipping charge via UPS Ground or USPS First Class mail within the USA.
RETURN POLICY
All shipments are checked for accuracy. If there are any problems, please let us know immediately. We will accept returns within two weeks of delivery. We will not refund shipping on returned items. You'll be glad to know that we charge no restocking fee at this time.
ABOUT IMAGES
USE OF IMAGES - All of our images/photographs are registered with the U.S. Copyright Office. Besides legal considerations, another problem with using our images is stated in the variety disclaimer. (see "About The Products" section above) Your retail customers will expect an exact image of whatever they purchase. If you wish to have images of our product, we encourage the use of digital photography to create your own images of items you've already purchased. In this manner you can market to your customer's satisfaction by using a picture of the very same retail item they'll be purchasing.

· If there's a problem can you return it? Is there a restocking fee?

· How detailed is the selection of styles? Are there a lot of good quality stones?
· How many stones are in the necklaces?
· Are the earwires hypo-allergenic?
· Is a realistic markup suggested? Is it an honest business?
· In the event of problems, who is responsible? Who is personally accountable?
