The Line: This company supplies 14k gold jewelry, plain or fancy, in all jewelry categories. There are several thousand pieces in stock at all times. They include earrings, necklaces, rings, anklets, bracelets, pendants, toe rings, navel piercings, ear clips, charms and chains. There is also a large selection of men's jewelry, along with nautical and religious themed pieces and a big collection of children's jewelry.
In addition to plain gold jewelry, chains and charms, there are pieces with gemstones, diamonds and pearls. NEDAG also carries loose diamonds, which many jewelry retailers need for resetting existing wedding rings, engagement rings and other heirloom pieces. The NEDAG selection covers the full range in the low to medium level of the jewelry market.
The company will assemble collections of best sellers to fit within a retailer's budget that are tailored to a particular market. Such customized assemblages go beyond items targeted to different demographics and geographies to also include nautical themed pieces for shore destinations, for example, and even to biker themed pieces for stores in Daytona or other places that attract bikers.
Seasonal items are also available. NEDAG regularly shops shows and reads journals to stay ahead of trends. It also routinely consults with its customers to make sure products meet current demand.
Literature: A 15 to 20 page print brochure is produced annually and available free to retailers. The company's inventory can also be seen online at its website.
Minimum Order/Pricing: There is no minimum order requirement, as long as the customer is a legitimate re-seller, and orders are shipped within 24 hours. Retailers are encouraged to call often with small orders.
The least expensive piece wholesales for less than $10 a unit, and the top wholesale price goes up to $800 a unit. Retail prices are a variable left to individual retailers, based on the recognition that some retailers prefer quick turnover at lower margins, while others often sell at triple the wholesale cost.
Special Features: The company offers advice on display. Wooden showcases are also available, and NEDAG will dropship to retailer customers.
