Western Express, Inc., with roots in Pennsylvania, one of the original New World colonies, celebrates another branch of our American heritage with its USA Made Western-themed products. Joining the revival of domestic manufacturing, Western Express now carries over 15 product categories of USA Made merchandise, including wool cowboy hats, bolo ties, jewelry, metal signs and more. Retailers and their customers have become increasingly receptive to domestically manufactured products, CEO Dan Mottsman explains. "Our choice to carry USA Made products is part of an effort to support our domestic economy, as well as have better control over production."
Some of the best selling categories include hats, buckles, collar tips and jewelry. Selling a wide range of jewelry such as earrings, necklaces, pendants and bracelets, the wholesale price varies between $3 and $10, and promises retailers at least keystone when reselling. Cowboy hats, an expected standard for a company carrying Western themed products, can wholesale for as low as $30 and under. Mottsman notes, "Staying with our western theme works for us, and we tend to be long term in our outlook with things that sell." This includes the up-and-coming category of suspenders. "We are expanding this line. It appears suspenders are back in trend, and our customers can't get enough, especially these USA Made suspenders," Mottsman adds.
Products offered by Western Express are made for men, women and children, leaving no country western fan excluded. And as the company services all 50 states, no USA enthusiast has to miss out. "It makes me feel good that we can bring back the USA Made label, and share domestic manufactured merchandise with our customers during a time when the economy needs it most," Mottsman explains.
