IRWIN SALES has added the, "Defenders of Freedom," iron-on patch to the company's line of about 2,500 different designs. The Defenders of Freedom features the logos of all four military branches (Army, Navy, Marines and Air Force) on a patch that measures about four inches by 2.5 inches.
It is on a hard cloth, which has a heat seal backing. Designed to be appropriate for commemorating any war, the logos appear against a black background.
In addition to Defenders of Freedom, the company, which has been in business since 1991, has iron-on patches in a wide range of sports, motorcycle, military, and religious themes. These are in addition to patches depicting flags, cities, countries, numbers, letters and popular comics. There are also some Spanish language patches.
The minimum order for patches is $84, and it can include an assortment. The wholesale price is $1.40, and suggested retail ranges from $3 to $4. There is a quantity discount on the first order, and Irwin Sales accepts Visa and MasterCard.
The company also has a long line of metal collectors' lapel pins depicting the same themes as those on its patches. The minimum order for pins is $54.
Wholesale pricing is as low as 58 cents, and the suggested retail price is $2.50.
